好地；令人滿意地；順利地
用來表示某件事做得不錯、進行順利，或達到令人滿意的程度。
用法：通常放在動詞之後。修飾動詞時用 well，不用 good。
I studied well for the math test.
我為數學考試讀得很好。
The new bus works well for students who go to school.
這班新公車很適合要去上學的學生。
2.
健康地；狀況良好地
表示某人身體健康，或在生病、受傷後恢復得不錯。
用法：此義可修飾 recover、feel 等動詞。若說「我身體很好」，I am well 可以使用，但較常用於健康語境。
Dad is well now.
爸爸現在身體很好。
I hope you get well and go back to class next week.
我希望你康復，下週回到班上。

健康的；沒事的；一切安好的
作形容詞時，表示身體健康、狀況沒問題，或事情一切正常。
用法：well 作形容詞時通常放在 be、feel、seem 等連綴動詞後。一般不要說 a well student；應依意思改說 a healthy student 或 a student who is doing well。
Please do not worry about me. I am well now.
請不要擔心我。我現在很好。
After the power came back on, all was well at home.

井；水井
從地面向下挖掘，以取得地下水的深洞或設施。
用法：作可數名詞使用。
The farm uses a well to get water for the plants.

很；相當；充分地；徹底地
用來加強形容詞、過去分詞或某些介系詞片語的程度。
用法：放在形容詞或過去分詞前時，常表示「充分地」或「很」。若置於名詞前形成複合形容詞，通常要加連字號，如 a well-known singer。
My parents know the school trip plan very well.
我的父母很清楚學校旅行的計畫。
Please come well prepared for the science talk.
請為科學演講做好充分準備再來。

遠遠地；大大地
用來表示某個數量、界線或程度明顯超出預期。
用法：well 在此不是指「做得好」，而是加強後面的數量或比較。
The restaurant is well over a ten-minute walk from the station.
那家餐廳離車站很遠，走路要超過十分鐘。
