選擇；挑選
從幾個人、事物或選項中選出自己要的、喜歡的或認為合適的對象。
用法：常接名詞或代名詞作受詞，也常用「從……中挑選」的句型。若要說明選擇的對象範圍，可在後面加 from。
You can pick any sweet food you want after dinner.

用手指或撥片拉動吉他等樂器的弦來發出聲音。
用法：可直接接樂器作受詞，也可說 pick at the strings，表示零星或隨意地撥弄琴弦。

撬開；破解
用細小工具在沒有鑰匙的情況下設法打開鎖。
用法：通常以 lock 作受詞。此義不表示一般正常地用鑰匙開鎖。
The man picked open the door after the woman lost her keys.
那名男子在女子弄丟鑰匙後，用工具打開了門。
6.
選擇；精選的人或物
從一群人或物中選出的對象，也可指值得推薦或最被看好的選擇。
用法：作名詞時是可數名詞。take your pick 表示「任你挑選」；a top pick 表示「首選」或「最推薦的選項」。
This bag is our top pick for students who take the bus every day.
這個包包是我們最推薦給每天搭公車的學生的選擇。
