我的；屬於我的
用來指屬於說話者的人、物或事物。通常獨立使用，後面不直接接名詞。
用法：mine 不可直接放在名詞前面。名詞前要用 my，例如 my phone。可說 This phone is mine，也可說 a classmate of mine。
A friend of mine told me about this place.

礦坑；礦場
從地下開採煤、金、銅等有價值物質的地點，或相關的採礦設施。
用法：作可數名詞使用。
My dad works in a mine.
我爸爸在礦坑工作。

地雷；水雷
埋在地面下、放在地面上或水中的爆炸裝置，受到踩踏、碰撞或其他觸發時會爆炸。
用法：land mine 指地雷；sea mine 或 naval mine 指水雷。
The report said people should not go there because there may be land mines.
報告說人們不應該去那裡，因為那裡可能有地雷。

指含有大量有價值、實用或有趣內容的地方、資料或來源，常為比喻用法。
用法：此義通常出現在 gold mine 這類比喻說法中，不表示真正的礦場。

用法：可接受詞作受詞，例如 mine coal；也可用被動語態，例如 coal is mined here。

系統性分析大量資料、文本或紀錄，以找出規律、資訊或有用內容。
用法：常以 data、records、text 等作受詞。mine data 強調從資料中找出模式或洞見，不只是閱讀資料。
The teachers mined the students’ answers to find out what food they wanted at school.
