說話者用來指稱自己。在現代標準英文中，不論位於句首、句中或句尾，都必須大寫。
用法：「我」作主詞時用 I，不用 me。與他人並列時，通常把自己放在後面，例如「我和我妹妹」應說 my sister and I。英文的 I 必須大寫；小寫 i 不是這個代名詞的標準寫法。
