高的；在高處的
指物體從底部到頂部的距離大，或位置離地面、海面等基準面很遠。
用法：可放在名詞前，也可用在連綴動詞後，例如表示某物很高。

用法：常見於 high-quality、high-level 等複合形容詞；作名詞片語時，也常說 of high quality。

指人在組織、社會或比賽中的職位、排名或重要性很高。
用法：high-ranking 常用來形容職位高的人；high priority 指優先程度高。
It is high on our list to keep students safe on a school trip.

指聲音的音調高，聽起來較尖細。
用法：high 與 loud 不同：high 談音調，loud 談音量。
I could hear the high sound of the fire bell.
