表示某人或某物的位置高於另一人、物或表面，通常不接觸對方。
用法：作介系詞時，後面要接名詞、代名詞或名詞片語。若兩者有接觸，通常用「on」而非「above」。

用法：「the above」可作名詞片語，指「上述事項」。在一般對話中，通常改說「the information mentioned earlier」會更自然。
